What we do not collect
- Your messages and files. They are encrypted in your browser. We cannot read them, and we do not store them.
- Your encryption key or room password. Neither is ever sent to us.
- Accounts. There are none. We do not ask for your real name, email, or phone number.
- Tracking. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising.
What we handle, briefly
To run a room, the server keeps a few things in its working memory and nowhere else:
- the room's ID and who is allowed to join;
- the display names people choose;
- network (IP) addresses, for a few minutes, to block abuse.
All of it is erased when the room ends. Rooms end when a host destroys them, after two days without activity unless a host keeps the room open longer, or when the site restarts. No room lasts more than 90 days.
What stays in your browser
Your choices of day or night mode, sound, and name colour. While a room is open, your tab also remembers your display name so you can reconnect. That is erased when you leave.
Others involved
- Fly.io hosts the site.
- Cloudflare provides the human check shown when you create a room. It sees the network address and browser details of the person creating the room. It is never loaded inside a room.
We do not sell or share information about you.
What we cannot control
Anyone in your room can screenshot, photograph, or save what they see. Only share what you would say out loud to the same people.
